Village Cancer Walk

Dave Banaszynski, Men’s Club President, introduces Nikki Choyce, co-chair of this year’s Village Cancer Walk, as our guest speaker for the October 2025 Men’s Club meeting. She provided the background and benefits derived from the 24th annual Cancer Walk held on the last Saturday of September. This year 476 people participated with SHJ having the largest church group. Funds raised by this event goes to UAMS cancer research in Little Rock. The secret to surviving cancer is early detection which leads to a effective treatment plan to slow or eradicate the cancer cells in their early stages. She asked for a show of hands from anyone who has been affected either personally or by a loved one or an acquaintance. Many hands were raised.
