Education Commission

The Education Committee sits under the Pastoral Council and in general serves to bring together those parish activities directed towards making us wiser and holier. Those may include, but are not limited to, Adult Scripture Study, Other adult formation programs, Perpetual Adoration, Youth Faith Formation and the Bereavement Ministry.

Subsets of these categories would include specific programs: Youth Religious Instruction, Confirmation Catechesis, Order of Christian Initiation of Adults, COR ad COR, a men’s study program, Walking with Purpose, a women’s Bible study program. Other adult study programs, Parish Missions, National Eucharistic Revival, FORMED, a multi-media resource from the Agustine Institute, and Grieving With Great Hope, ministry to those who are mourning a loss.

Over time we have occasionally discussed how we might do more for Evangelization as that topic is always before us. It comes from Rome, the USCCB and our own Bishop who remind us of Jesus’ challenge to go forth and make disciples of all nations. To take this forward we invite any one so inclined to join the Education Committee, to be a leader in Evangelization.
