Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church Cemetery

The Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery is located on church grounds across the parking lot from the main entrance to Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.

The Cemetery was approved for construction and completed in 2007 and was dedicated by the pastor at that time, Msgr. Bernard Malone. The Cemetery consists of a memorial garden and five columbarium, with room for additional columbarium, as needed. There is no plan for a mausoleum or in-ground burial for the Cemetery.

If you are not familiar with the term columbarium, it is a structure for the inurnment of cremated remains of the deceased.  Our five columbarium are located in the Memorial Garden and each contains eighty niches that are capable of containing one or two urns of cremated remains.

The Catholic Church has issued guidelines for cremation and inurnment of cremated remains.

The inurnment of cremated remains in the Sacred Heart Cemetery is limited to Sacred Heart Church members and their immediate families.  Click below for the guidelines for the inurnment of cremated remains in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
