In Support of LOSH:

• We host the September general meeting and take our rotation for funeral receptions

•  Deliver the school supplies after the September general meeting

•  Provide Raffle baskets and auction items for LOSH fundraising events (Fall into Fun Card Party and Golf Event)

•  Baking for the Christmas Bake Sale and other functions

•  Participate in all Something Extra Collections (i.e. Warm clothing for Oaklawn track workers)

In the Community:

• Volunteer at the Village Loan Closet on the 3rd and 5th Mondays of the month

• Shop for and deliver Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, and Summer food baskets for Mission Outreach

• Volunteer at Jackson House making lunches on any 5th Tuesdays

• Provide funding for tuition assistance/scholarship funds to St. John's Catholic School and Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School

We welcome new members and new ideas on how to be of even more service.

Social Activities:

•  Attend Mass together and then have lunch to celebrate the feast day of St. Monica (August 27th)

•  Luncheons with our fellow sisters of St. Monica several times each year

•  Have at least one social activity yearly which includes spouses and/or guests

• Helping Hands volunteers visiting the Homebound and providing rides for medical appointments, etc.

• Sunshine Card Ministry and Prayer Warriors

• Guild members are Eucharistic Adorers, lectors, Cantor/Choir members, Eucharistic Ministers, Church Flower/Plant Ministry, SHJ Welcome Committee, and wives/widows of KofC's

• Donate for two Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter "food baskets" for Mission Outreach

• Volunteer with Basket Program organization

• Palm Sunday Bake Sale

• Host Membership Meeting on a yearly rotation and funeral receptions as assigned

• Actively participate in LOSH leadership roles as Chairpersons for Card Party and Golf Fundraisers as well as Bake Sales, auctions and any and all activities as needed

• Monetary donations from our Guild Treasury to:  Change Point Pregnancy Resource Center, Project Hope, Diocese of Little Rock "One Church”

• Imagination Library of the Ouachitas for a total of $3,800 in charitable contributions

• Prepare raffle or auction donations for LOSH fundriasers (Card Party, Christmas Bake Sale, Golf Event)

• Baking for Bake Sale or other functions

• Participate in all "Something Extra" Collections (i.e. School Supply Drive)

In the Community:

•  Mountain Pine Elementary Second Grade - Contact Sarah Aucoin or Deb Sprecher

  • Visit classrooms throughout the year

  • Tutor students in Reading Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the year

  • Sponsor and attend Thanksgiving, Christmas and end of year parties

  • Purchase books for each student at Chrismas and end of the year

• Shop for and deliver Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and Summer food baskets for Mission Outreach

• CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) for at-risk children - Contact Barb Sweeney

We welcome new members who may want to lead new or re-involvement in:  Jackson House, Volunteering at the Village Loan Closet, St. Luke's Episcopal Shower Ministry, and other area agencies in need.  We welcome your ideas!

Our Social Activities throughout the year include:

• Periodic breakfast meetings

• Two lunchion meetings

Members of Guild 4 volunteer; enjoy teamwork and help with:

• Hosting Funeral Receptions, as assigned in rotation

• Hosting LOSH General Meeting in January

• Volunteering as teams; currently taking turns at Jackson House on first Fridays of the month

• Donating to several local charities with our Guild funds

• Volunteer assembling or delivering Tiny Angel gowns

• Donate to LOSH's monthly "Something Extra"

• Angel Tree project and Christmas gifts

• Support LOSH fundraisers, volunteer at Golf Tournament and sponsor Hole #4; Card Party, Bake Sale, etc.

Some of our Social Activities:

• Celebrate the Feast of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton on the 4th of January; Attend Mass and share a meal together 

• Gather for lunch, card games, celebrate  birthdays

• Plan projects, such as "FUNd" raisers, a Spring Tea or Summer Picnic

• Christmas Party

• Offer/Attend Masses together for our deceased members

Some Guild 4 Members are also in these Ministries:

• Shawl Ministry for sick parishioners, family & friends

• Helping Hands - Kairos Prison Ministry - Sunshine Cards

• Rosary Makers - Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration - Parish Welcome Committee

• Plant Ministry

• Several members are tutors at Mountain Pine Elementary school or teach Faith Formation at SHJ

• Choir and Resurrection Choir - Prayer Warriors

• Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and Summer food baskets to needy families through Mission Outreach

• Assist Knights of Columbus and Men's Club with events

• Some members are in Sacred Heart Singles

• Some of our Guild members are Altar Servers, Liturgical Ministers, Eucharistic Ministers and Adorers

In the Community:              

• Work with "Clothe the Child" mission in Jessieville, Fountain Lake, and Mt. Pine schools to provide personal items and clothing.

•  Adopt one child to Imagination Library (Dolly Parton's literacy project)

• Shop for and deliver Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and Summer food baskets for Mission Outreach

• Pledge money for Melissa's Angels – G & T program at Mt. Pine School

Social Activities:

• Attend Mass together on the feast of St. Michael the Archangel, September 29th, followed by breakfast

•  Frequent Social Gatherings

•  Monthly luncheon meetings 

• Christmas Brunch with guild members

Projects at Mountain Pine Elementary School:

• Provide classroom supplies for 3rd grade classes upon teachers' requests, sponsor enrichment opportunities for those classes

• Host Christmas and end-of-year parties and provide books and gifts for each child

• Members have the option to support the tutoring center at the elementary school by helping with administrative functions and/or by praying for the success of the mission

• Support 3rd grade families in crisis in cooperation with Family Assistance

Other Activities

• Chaplain provides spiritual guidance and support for members; members pray St. Teresa's Flying Novena on a regular basis

• As a guild, donate Food baskets as requested by Parish Food Basket Committee and conduct inventory for the Christmas Angel Tree Program

• Support annual LOSH events and fund raisers and Something Extras

• Take rotation hosting general LOSH membership meetings and funeral receptions

• Meet as a guild four times a year for social/mini-meetings

• Attend Mass as a group on a monthly basis for the year including the celebration of St. Teresa of Calcutta's feast day on September 5, followed by breakfast/brunch for those wishing to attend

• Members actively volunteer for many LOSH, Parish, HSV community and Hot Springs organizations, including Social Justice and Charitable Outreach, Helping Hands, Liturgy, Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors, Choir, Welcoming Committee

Social Activities:

•  Book Club - monthly

• Mahjong Club/games - afternoons and/or evenings being considered

•  Semi-annual Socials with spouses and/or guest at Christmas and in the Spring

•  Work with 1st graders at Mt. Pine monthly

•  Tiny Angel Gown helpers

•  Deliver Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter Food baskets

•  Donate 2 baskets to LOSH fund raisers

•  Take rotation hosting general LOSH membership meetings and funeral receptions

•  Helping at Faith Fellowship Food Bank on Highway 7

•  Participate and support all LOSH activities 

Social Activities:

•  Monthly breakfast or lunch gathering

•  Monthly gatherings for cards/snacks

•  Social fun lunches during the year

•  Christmas social with spouses

•  Celebrate St. Anthony Feast Day by attending Mass together followed by a breakfast meeting.

•   Yearly picnic/meeting with guild members

• Serve as Host for the May general meeting and and funeral receptions, in keeping with rotating schedule

• Prepare raffle and/or auction donations for LOSH fund raising events (Card Party and Golf Event)

• Baking for Christmas Bake Sale and other functions

• Participate in all Something Extra collections (i.e. Filly Feed Bags for Oaklawn workers)

In the Community:

• We focus on our children in Faith Formation, which includes two picnics, a Christmas party and activities that help in their Faith Journey!

• Shop for and deliver Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and Summer food baskets for Mission Outreach

Social Activities:

•  Social fun lunch at the start of the year

•  Celebrate St. Jude Feast Day, October 28th by attending Mass and a luncheon afterwards
